Why I Chose RackNerd for my VPS
Honestly, it came down to price. Lots of VPS providers have more features than you will get with RackNerd, but they tend to charge more money for those features. With RackNerd, you may not get automatic backups, managed firewalls, DDoS mitigation, DNS hosting, or other 'fancy' features. You pretty much get root access to your own Linux server with a public IP address. RackNerd has a lot more to offer, but I am currently using their Linux VPS for learning and tinkering. (This website is running on a RackNerd VPS.) Costs can be as low as $1/GB RAM/month.
RackNerd offers low-cost, no-frills virtual private servers aimed at users who want full control over their own hosting environment. They focus on providing reliable, always-on infrastructure with dedicated resources, while leaving software choices, configuration, and security in your hands. This makes them a strong fit for developers, hobbyists, and small projects that value control and budget over managed, “hands-off” service.
